Located on Zurich’s Uetliberg, the 187 meter tall broadcasting tower serves as a crucial transmission hub in Switzerland’s communications network. The site has always been an essential signal point for the region and has probably reached its pinnacle with the commissioning of the current tower in 1990.
While some of this broadcasting infrastructure has become obsolete though a shift and modernisation of technologies, the tower continues to stand as a testament of television broadcasting of that time.1
