Design of a public, elective project in the „Gleisfeld“ in Zurich.

The new pedestrian bridge extends the existing pedestrian path on the Letten Viaduct and connects the the two sides of Zürich, which are otherwise separated by the track field.
In the northern part, the bridge uses the foundations of the old viaduct, which was replaced around the millennium.
It winds in an S-curve around the existing railway facilities and ends next to the police and justice centre. In contrast to the massive concrete bridges of the railway, the pedestrian bridge embodies a filigree form according to its programme. At the same time the materiality is still a reference to the surrounding buildings and infrastructural elements.
