24 hour competition, for the annual planting of the design studio garden.
Final planning and coordination of the construction process.
The aim of the competition was the planting of the northern half, in which reference had to be made to the square and fireplace built the previous semester. The starting point was a list of different plants, from small hedges to large trees.
The competition proposal was chosen as a starting point together with two other designs, which were then developed into the final project in a second phase.
The project incorporates the geometric form of the square and forms a contrast to the rest of the planting. The resulting grid contrasts the existing natural forms in the southern of the garden.
The new squares created by the grid all have their own character due to the different plant species. In addition, the garden border towards the campus was reinforced and the northern area was densified in order to counteract the high soil moisture in this area.
