Design of a high-rise building in the „Gleisfeld“ in Zurich with a focus on public space.
Due to the decrease of freight traffic and the relocation of railway buildings to the periphery, more and more space is freed up in and around the track field in the city.
The project is based on a proposal for a park in the „Gleisfeld“ by fellow students, which spans between the Duttweiler Bridge and the new high-rise building. The proposal creates a large public space that will offer the city an added cultural value .
The existing buildings, which previously served as train washing facilities, will be used as infrastructure for the park.
Due to its exclusive location in the park, the luxurious office and residential tower makes it possible to finance the large park. The design language of the tower reinforces the surreal atmosphere of its location.
