The Johnson Wax Headquarters was built in 1939 by Frank Lloyd Wright.
Mushroom columns with a special mesh reinforcement were used for the first time in this building.
The principle of the mushroom column can be found throughout the entire building complex.
Even the tower, which was used as a development laboratory, is supported by a central core that unites all functions.
The building complex contains one of the first modern offices with a free floor plan.
Frank Lloyd Wright also designed all the office furniture specifically for this project.
