15 percent of Zürich’s drinking water comes from the Sihl and Lorze valleys. For more than a century, Zürich has been using these sources, which also serve as an emergency water supply. The work investigates the spring water supply of the city of Zürich in the Lorze valley. Through ana- log photography and audio recordings the spatial characteristics drawn by light and sound create a new perception of these places. New atmospheric qualities that can be found in these partially hidden underground landscapes are revealed.
